Utilize the low cost Amazon S3 web service to provide :
  • Allowing users to access files more quickly at a remote site that has a slow network connection.
  • Integrates directly with WebTop using a WebTop plug-in
The folliowing is a typical integration between Documentum, Amazon S3, and Content Workspace.

  1. Content Workspace is configured to run periodically.  It logs into Documentum, queries for new content, then securely copies the content to the Amazon global storage network.
  2. Remote users log into WebTop normally and browse remotely.
  3. When clicking on content, the content is served from Amazon using the closest and fastest copy.

  • Scheduling can be configured to transfer content during off-peak hours.
  • Integrations with WebTop, DamTop, DCM, and WebPublisher.
  • Future version with write-back service is in the works.
