Solutions: Claims Processing

The CWS Claims Processing Solution has the following features:
  • Scan at a single site or at a multiple sites.  Use of red drop out on HCFA 1500 forms must be used for these types of documents.
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is configured with specific templates designed to accurately determine field assignements from the data that is recognized. 
  • Data Correction is configured with hot keys and confidence levels to optimize data accuracy and correction operator performance. 
The following configuration is a common way to configure CWS to process claims:

1500 Form Image The HCFA 1500 form  should be used in "Form Drop Out Mode", which provides high OCR accuracy.

Data correction operators will fix content that the OCR engine had low confidence or fails validation.
 
Other key features of the Claims Processing Solution:
  • Can work in "Non-OCR" mode to allow data entry
  • The Data Entry from Image option is a viable alternative if the claims system is easy to use for data entry.
